Synopsis :
Julian Marsh (Warner Baxter), célèbre producteur de Broadway, lance un nouveau spectacle malgré sa santé fragile. La production est financée par un vieil homme fortuné, amoureux de Dorothy Brock (Bebe Daniels), la vedette de la comédie musicale. Mais la veille de la première, Dorothy se tord la cheville et une jeune choriste du nom de Peggy Sawyer (Ruby Keeler) doit prendre sa place.
