Synopsis :
Mary Keaton (Joan Blondell), Ruth Wescott (Bette Davis) et Vivian Revere (Ann Dvorak), trois amies d’enfance que les aléas de la vie ont séparées se retrouvent dix ans plus tard. Mary est désormais choriste, Ruth travaille comme secrétaire, et Vivian, jadis considérée comme la plus brillante de la bande, gâche sa vie en tombant dans la débauche et la drogue.
